Background: Jeen was a human technician who worked in the Imperial Senate Building during 2 BBY. The day before, Senator Mon Mothma delivered a speech denouncing the Ghorman Massacre in the Grand Convocation Chamber of the Imperial Senate. Jeen, along with a fellow technician, locked the door to a senate security closet and took its sequence key up to the required office. During the speech that commenced the following day, both individuals were called to the door by a security official named Pono, who was under orders to shut down the Senate broadcast of the declaration. After informing him that they fixed the lock, as per protocol, and that he needed the sequence key, Pono rushed off to the office to retrieve the key. After Pono left, Jeen shared a smile with their fellow technician.
